Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store your name, email address, and profile picture. This information is used solely for authentication and personalizing your experience.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you use RepostEngine, including the YouTube URLs you process, the content formats you generate, and your usage frequency. This data helps us provide the service, enforce usage limits, and improve our product.
Analytics Data
We collect basic analytics data including your browser type, device type, approximate location (country level), and pages visited. This helps us understand how our service is used and improve the experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the RepostEngine service
- To authenticate your identity and manage your account
- To track usage limits and enforce fair use policies
- To store your generation history so you can access past content
- To process payments and manage subscriptions

3. Third Party Services
We share data with the following third party services as necessary to operate RepostEngine:
Google OAuth
Used for authentication. We receive your basic profile information. Google's privacy policy applies to data collected through their authentication service.
Supabase
Our database provider. Stores your account information, generation history, and usage data. Data is stored in secure, encrypted databases.
OpenAI
Processes video transcripts to generate content. Transcript text is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI does not use API data for training their models. We do not send your personal information to OpenAI.
Stripe
Handles payment processing for paid subscriptions. Stripe processes your payment information directly and securely. We do not store your credit card details.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information and generation history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Usage logs and analytics data may be retained in anonymized form for up to 12 months after account deletion.
5. Data Security
We implement industry standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your generation history
- Withdraw consent for data processing (by deleting your account)

RepostEngine is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the application or by email. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
